Gloomy Monday

The weather has been dark and gloomy all day today,Autumn is on the way!
Today I  went to see my grandchildren and had a nice chillled afternoon having loads of cuddles with baby Niamh. Then we fetched her big sister and brother from school.
I spent yesterday knitting Niamh a cardigan so didn't get any papercrafts done, the above card is one I did on Saturday. I used peel offs on handmade paper for the butterflies, and a lovely metallic corrugated card. The background card has glitter butterflies on it. It was an easy make using up some scraps. Well I am off to do some more knitting now.

New Stash!

I am back from the Lake district! I had a lovely few days, and managed to buy new stash while I was there. Thanks to my husband who drove me all over the place to find places i had found in magazines! We went to the "PaperMill" shop in Kendall, then on the way home we went to Preston to find "Inspirations" by "Cardcraft plus" they have a lovely big shop that you can wander around, there is an area to sit and drink coffee( somewhere for husbands to sit and wait!), they have a good selection of crafting goodies, I saw 12x12 papers I haven't seen anywere else. There was a good selection of wool, some gifts and cards. There is a large area for holding workshops. It was very busy but there was no pressure from anyone, I was free to wander and staff were very helpful if you needed anything.

We then stopped in Stoke to do a food shop and spotted a shop that was newly opened called "outlet shop" it was fab and had really good prices, so I spent again and will be heading back there soon. Well I need to get some washing done and then use some of my new stash.

We have been in the Lake District since Monday and are having a lovely chilled time. The view from our apartment is wonderful. I have managed a bit of knitting and some reading and listening to my ipod. Yesterday we went to Keswick and today we have been to Barrow in Furness, the weather has been beautiful up until today, it has rained since lunchtime. It is strange not making any cards but I decided not to bring anything with me except knitting as I have two cardigans to complete for my baby Granddaughter who is now 2 weeks old!
Hopefully I will get to blog again tomorrow.

Weekend has gone so quickly

This weekend has gone so quickly, my eldest granddaughter came to stay so she has kept me busy, we had great fun. I didn't get any crafting done but managed to sort my knitting out ready to take with me tomorrow when we go to the Lake District for a few days. So probably no blogging for me till next weekend. The  above picture is of the first mini book I made with my Cinch binder, it isn't quite perfect as the holes should be in the centre of the page and it was slightly off. I have made a couple more since and they turned out fine. I just need to practice.
Well if anyone is reading this have a good weekend I will speak to you soon

Oh dear!

Well today has been a very lazy day  for me as I have been suffering with backache since last night, so haven't achieved anything crafty wise today but above is a card I did last night. The stamp is called "Chloe in the Rain". I love this as you can use lots of different colours and get totally different looks. It is versatile as you can use it for any age. I used a co-ordinating paper for the background, and mounted the picture on a deep pink mountcard then attached a simple sentiment.

Finally finished!

I have finally finished the card I made for baby Niamh. I am fairly pleased with how it turned out. I used my Cinch binder and an acrylic template for the word baby. Yesterday I spent the afternoon with my grandchildren and I pushed the pram to collect big sister from school!
Today my friend came round to Scrapbook but we ended up making labels on computer and drinking lots of tea! A nice way to spend a day

Day out today!

Today I have been shopping with my Mum and Dad so have not managed any crafting! Last night I made this card which is coloured with promarkers then I have used Glossy accents to highlight some bits. I am a recent convert to Glossy Accents and now seem to want to put it on everything. I was rather pleased with how this turned out I love the colours and managed to use up some papers from my scraps. Hopefully I will get chance for more crafting tomorrow

Todays cards

Today I decided to make some cards after doing housework!! I made an Anniversary card for some friends, then went on to make two other cards and a small notebook using my "Cinch" binding tool which is really easy to use, I love it.
It has been a lovely sunny day so the light in my craft room was good. This card was a Forever Friends stamp by DoCrafts, I used my Promarkers for colouring in and stickles icicle glitter for the veil. The "time to celebrate" stamp is free on this months "Stamper magazine".
I am hoping to finish my baby card tomorrow and make a selection of cards.
I spoke to my eldest granddaughter Chloe on the phone today, she delighted in telling me that her baby sister Niamh keeps holding on to her finger tightly. Niamh is now 3 days old and went out on her first outing in her pram to "Starbucks".

Speak again tomorrow

My first Post!

Hi and a big welcome to my blog. I have not managed much crafting this week as I have been sorting and tidying my craft room. I have now labelled most things and  hopefully won't spend all my time looking for things such as embellishments and papers! On Wednesday my Daughter in law gave birth to my second Granddaughter "Niamh Rebecca" she is a week early so I have to get on with finishing her card! My elder Granddaughter is nearly 7 and is already a crafter in the making.
The above card was a"Wild Rose Studio" stamp coloured with Pro markers, the papers are from "Making Memories". The faux stiching is a white gel pen. I love the colours of the papers. Hopefully over the weekend I will finish the new baby card and get chance to post some more of my work
